What should one do if you break a bone.
Honestly this question came from the fear that I'll breaks a bone sooner or later. I usually put my bones at risk when I go to work or when I go to skate. There have been many times where I push my limits and I harm my body. Thankfully I've been blessed because I have not had any serious injures but now we will be preparing for that dreadful day.
The most obvious action is to go hospital or call 911 for the best help.
While you wait for medical attention.
1.You should stop the bleeding.
You can do this by using sterile bandage, a clean cloth or a clean piece of clothing and applying pressure.
2. Keep the injured area stable and secure
Do NOT try to realign the bone or push back a bone into place. Leave that area alone until medical assistance has arrived. If you have been taught in how to splint. Apply a splint above and Bellow the injured area.
3.Apply a ice pack to get relieve from any pain or swelling
Do not apple the ice pack directly to the skin; Wrap the ice pack with a towel or cloth. Then Gently apply pressure around the effected area.
That is it!
Hopefully you learned something new.
I wish you never ever need to use these tips.
Thankfully I too have never been seriously injured or broken and bones but I am not good with pain so I hope that I won't have to use your tips on what to do but after readining this blog if I do then I will be equipped
