Blog #9 The weather

The Weather to love or hate

Blog #9

Even though I love this state and the experiences I've had here, what I have always hated and always will hate is the summer days. It might sound funny to hate the heat and say that I still like this place being that its name literally comes from the Greek mythology bird called the Phoenix bird because of the excessive heat we have here but hear me out. Now that we are having colder days my levels of joy and pressure are on a daily peak. I have always love the cold and the feelings you get; yes I am talking about the pains too! But people like my dad hate these days and he finds them dreadful. His excuse is that cloudy days hurt his eyes and that the cold bring pains from his fracture bones. I find that those valid excuses.

Snow in Az is almost nonexistent
For me the cold gives me more time to be creative and the environment to express myself. I believe the cold always allows for people to be more open. It could be because the shorter days cause one to be more open and do the things the have to do now knowing that you only have a set time before the sun calls it quits is a feeling that can be stressing to some but the most peaceful moment to others. Now if I compare myself when it is hot outside; I get a frustrated going outside and I feel limited to only being able to go outside in the early morning or late in the afternoon. If I ever do go out mid-day then I have to set a whole routine for me to avoid getting sweaty or getting frustrated from the annoying heat. Phoenix heat for me is the most irritating thing. It is something you can't not avoid without some type of air conditioner.

I will probably never leave Phoenix for its multiple beauty's and the people but the heat will always be my biggest displeasure about living here. It is all a preference thing to most and a enjoyment that should not be judged whether you like the heat or the cold. Now my question to you guys is do you like the cold or the heat? Maybe I will change side with the right example.

  2. I love the heat but also appreciate our winter months as well. That said, you have an infectious energy in your posts when you write that makes you seem accessible and engages the reader.
